These Awesome Vehicles Make Even Cooler Limos!
Nothing says style quite like showing up to an event in a limousine. When the doors open and you step out of your luxuriously long ride, everyone's heads will turn. Now imagine the looks you'd get if you don't show up in a standard limo, but a stretch VW Bus instead? Or maybe a stretch Mini Cooper is more to your liking? In theory, any vehicle can be turned into a limousine, and oftentimes they are just as cool -- if not cooler -- than the original. These vehicles started out looking great, and look even better as limousines!
VW Beetle Limo
It might be hard to imagine a vehicle as small as the Volkswagen Beetle being turned into a limo, but where there's a will, there's a way. Whoever made this creature comfort of a ride made sure to keep it modest, only extending the body slightly.
The production of the Beetle was originally approved in the 1930s. It was designed by the founder of Porsche and became popular thanks to its odd design. Turning it into an even odder limo just makes it that much more interesting!
Grand Prix Limo
If you've ever wanted to ride in an F1 Grand Prix car without getting behind the wheel, this limo is just for you. With enough room to fit six passengers, this vehicle might not be race-ready... but that's not really the point.
Adrenaline junkies shouldn't expect the faux racer to break the sound barrier, either. These limos might look fast, but they weren't designed to blow anyone away on the freeway.
Corvette Limo
The Corvette is one of the most iconic cars ever made, so it only makes sense someone would turn one into a limousine. The most famous Corvette limo was based on a 1994 model year vehicle.
In 2010, the limo was put on the cover of a Corvette book, bringing it national attention. While it might not be the only Corvette ever redesigned for luxury, it does stand out as one of the coolest.
Tank Limo
As crazy as this one sounds, the tank limousine does exist. The company that makes them figured out how to make these behemoths street legal and remove any army specific configurations.
According to the company's website, you can take a tank limo on all kinds of exploratory excursions if you have the cash! Of course, while you can rent one of these monsters to take you to a wedding, they are mostly used for publicity stunts and marketing.
Stretch Lamborghini
Nothing quite shows off how wealthy someone is than taking a $400,000 supercar and customizing it to make it a limo. This may seem like a blasphemous move for supercar purists, but it's hard to deny the beauty of this stretch Lamborghini Aventador.
The Aventador is one of Lamborghini's most expensive models. When it was first released it was praised by Car and Driver as the "best Lamborghini ever." Who knew that by increasing its passenger space it could be made even better!
Stretch Harley Davidson
We're not sure about the logistics of turning a Harley Davidson into a limousine, but here it is. This limo is oddly beautiful, a mashup of two-wheel rebellion and upscale society.
The front is all hog, while the passenger section is as posh as they come. Complete with a bar and an open-air section, it's hard not to be attracted to the Harley Davidson limo. The only question is this; how much does it cost to rent?
DeLorean Limo
Do you think it's possible to go 88 miles per hour in the DeLorean limousine? The car, originally made famous in Back to the Future, was a failure when it was originally released.
After the movie came out, the DeLorean became a collector's item, and this one became a limo. Unfortunately, you won't get to ride in this time machine. It is privately owned by Chicago car enthusiast Rich Weissensel.
Armored Bank Truck Limo
Buying an armored bank truck limo will set you back a reported one million dollars. Why so expensive? The limo isn't just a fake version of the classic armored bank truck; it's made from the same bulletproof material.
We're not sure why you would ever need an armored bank truck limo, but if this is the kind of extravagance you're looking for, this one was made in Texas. Don't forget, "everything is bigger in Texas."
VW Bus Limo
One of the most iconic cars the surf community has ever seen, the VW Bus has stood the test of time since first being produced in the '60s. In 2015, this bus was given a major upgrade when someone customized it as a limo.
The VW Bus Limo seats 12 surfers comfortably (although maybe not their boards), and was sold for $220,000. It turns out, there is truly only one way to pull up to the beach in style!
Trabant Limo
Made in East Germany, the Trabant wasn't considered an attractive or practical car when it was originally produced. Since then, however, it has become a sensation among car aficionados and a collectors' item. It has also been turned into a limousine.
Surprisingly, one of the more popular customizations of the poorly-constructed car was to turn it into a six-wheeled limo. It's better than sending the car to the farm, where pigs reportedly enjoying chowing down on them -- and we're not joking!
Mini Cooper Limo
Just because something starts out small doesn't mean it can't be made bigger. That's exactly what happened with the Mini Cooper limo. Like the Trabant, stretching out this classic means giving it six wheels instead of four.
The Mini Cooper is so customizable you can even give it any paint color you want. If you really think about it, this would be the perfect limo to pull up to prom or a wedding in.
Hummer Limo
One of the more recognizable vehicles-turned-limo on this list, the Hummer limo has been around for a while. For many, it's still the preferred way to drive the gas-guzzling, in-your-face beast.
Inside any Hummer limo you'll find a variety of amenities, from full bars to dance floors. When you're in one of these, you don't even need to show up to the party because you're already having too much fun.
Royal Toyota Century Limo
The Royal Century Toyota limo is the official car of Japanese officials. Just like Cadillacs are used by the government in the United States, high ranking government members in Japan prefer to ride in a nationally made vehicle.
While we would love to share what's under the hood of this modestly sized limousine, the specifics are classified. The overall cost of the presidential vehicle has been estimated at around half a million dollars.
Mercedes G63 Limo
The Mercedes G63 is not the typical luxury vehicle the automaker is known for. Built to be rugged and take you off-roading, the G63 is as tough as they come. And to help include more people on the adventure, Inkas Group turned one into a limo.
The G63 limo is one of the toughest vehicles on or off the road. It has been designed to feature a luxurious interior with a bulletproof exterior. Buying one for your collection will set you back around one million dollars.
Ford Mustang Limo
Like the Corvette, the Ford Mustang is a classic muscle car. First sold in the United States in 1965, the Mustang has never gone out of style. With millions of Mustangs on the road, it's only fair that someone would turn theirs into a limo.
Unlike other hybrid limos on this list, the Mustang version won't cost you an arm and a leg. Recently, one was auctioned off on eBay for around $10,000.
Chevy Suburban Limo
One of the more intimidating limo hybrids we've seen, the Chevy Suburban limo is not for the faint of heart. One version of these limos was "lifted" four feet above the ground, making it look more like a monster truck than a limousine.
There is nothing subtle about a Suburban limo, but if you're riding around in one you probably know that already. Not that it matters since the interior is so luxurious you could live in it.
Anaconda Motorcycle Limo
Possibly the least luxurious limo on this list, the Anaconda Motorcycle limo is basically a motorcycle with an extended seat. Able to seat nine passengers, this no-frills limo hybrid will get you where you're going, but that's about it.
Built from Harley Davidson parts by Smokey McGill, the Anaconda bike was named the world's longest motorcycle in 2004 at 19 feet long. It also weighs a stunning 1,420 pounds, which is on the heavier side for a hog.
Apocalyptic Limo
We have no idea what the original version of this car was, but whoever owns it turned it into one of the most show-stopping pieces on this list. This Mad Max-style limo was so attention-grabbing that it was featured in magazines and on TV shows.
From what we can tell, this road demon started out as a simple Mustang. If you look just above the front tire, you can see the Mustang symbol. What other parts were used is anyone's guess.
Big Rig Limo
Throw subtlety out the door with this big rig that was turned into a limousine. It's the heaviest limo in the world, and is perfect for extreme adventure lovers. Inside this massive ride, you'll find three lounges, each with its own ear-splitting stereo system.
Crafting this crazy limo took eight years. Construction began in 1997 and was completed in 2004. It can be rented in Southern California and is graded as road legal in every state.
Ferrari Limo
If someone can customize a Lamborghini to make a limo, why can't another person take a Ferrari and turn it into a limo? This specific Ferrari limo is based on the automaker's 360 and can be rented in the United Kingdom from Limo Broker.
Unlike some hybrid limos, this one is built to perform. Inside, there is enough room for eight passengers. The original Ferrari only fits two (a driver and passenger), so the extra room is quite the upgrade!
All Electric Limo
This limo comes to us courtesy of Keio University students in Japan. They created it from scratch in 2003 in an effort to help promote electric vehicles with low emissions. At the time it was pretty stylish, too.
Making the electric limo even more impressive was how much power it had. Using a lithium battery, it was able to reach a top speed of 230 miles per hour during road tests!
Monster Limo
Monster truck limousines exist in many shapes and forms, and they are all awesomely terrifying. You obviously won't find these on the dirt during Monster Jam, but you might find them scaring drivers on the freeway.
One thing these monster limos are perfect for is marketing. Put an advertisement on one and everyone is sure to see. Not because they want to, but because they'll need to make sure you're not getting too close with your giant wheels.
Porsche Panamera Limo
Here's Porsche's entry into the limo game, and it's a doozy. The company took their Panamera luxury car and stretched it out, making one of the nicest and cleanest looking limos on this list.
Getting in the backseat of one of these beauties isn't cheap. For the first three hours you're on the road it will cost $4,500. Any time spent after that will result in more money coming out of your bank account.
Ford F650 Limo
The Ford F650 limo is more like a party bus, if you ask us. The incredibly large and hardly practical vehicle is basically a bar on wheels. Some versions are perfect for sports viewing parties, while others have poles installed for dancing.
For renters, this limo comes in two sizes - shuttle bus and party bus. The shuttle bus version has enough room for 31 passengers. The large party bus version can hold up to 36.
727 Limo
Your eyes are not deceiving you. That is indeed a 727 Boeing Jet turned into a limousine. To make this dream limo a reality, the front section of a 727 was removed and fitted onto the body of a Mercedes bus.
When this incredibly odd limo was put up for auction on eBay, it sold for a whopping $274,000. Where the owner is going to store this 53 foot, 24,000-pound beast is anyone's guess. It's not exactly a commuter vehicle!
BMW Limo
One of the most popular vehicles of the '90s was the BMW E38. Since production began on the vehicle in 1996, 340,000 have been made. Of those, some of them of course got turned into limousines.
The BMW E38 was the first BMW to offer a built-in television and the first European car with satellite navigation. It was featured in several movies including, Tomorrow Never Dies, Bad Santa, and The Transporter.
Mini Cooper Limo With A Hot Tub
You've already seen one Mini Cooper turned into a limo, but this second one was too impressive not to share. Why? Because it comes with a hot tub attached to the back!
While this doesn't seem very functional (the car can't be in motion while you're "relaxing"), it is luxuriously over the top. Nothing says, "we built it because we could" quite like turning he back end of your already extravagant limousine into a fully functioning hot tub.

For anyone looking to buy their own limousine, you could do worse than the Chrysler 300 limo. Already one of the brand's most popular cars, it looks even cooler when stretched for extra passenger space.
We recommend renting this limo instead of buying, though. The starting price is $140,000, and that only goes up as you add more amenities. Keep your life simple and rent it out for a night. What do you really need to own a limo for?
Cadillac One Limo
Here's one limo you will never have the privilege to ride in unless you have friends in very high places. There is only one Cadillac One in existence, and it belongs to the President of the United States.
The body of this very special car is made of aluminum, titanium, steel, and ceramic. It can protect whoever is inside from the strongest biochemical attacks and is reinforced with thick foam to withstand the hardest direct hits.
Skoda Limo
Like Trabant, Skoda is not known for making the highest quality cars, but that hasn't stopped people from trying to improve on the brand. This Skoda limo was designed by Jaroslav Valenta and Martin Jinek, an electrician and a mechanic.
The pair took two Skoda Octavias and mashed them together to create this 22 foot long, fully functional limousine. Jaroslav and Martin say they wanted to create the perfect Skoda limo, and we think they may have just pulled it off.
Prius Limo
Possibly one of the more practical limos on this list, the Prius limo is more like taking the hybrid wonder car and turning it into a family van. Suddenly you have plenty of room for the kids and all their stuff, and you're saving money at the gas pumps!
Building one of these is a similar process to other limos: just combine two Priuses together. You can also save yourself the hassle and buy one already constructed for your pleasure.
Fiat Limo
Love the look of a Fiat but not the size? Have you considered turning one into a limousine? As you can see from this picture, it's possible, although it might not make the car any more comfortable for tall people.
The Fiat limo has become a popular wedding vehicle, believe it or not. After nuptials are shared, it becomes the perfect ride to leave the ceremony in and head off to your honeymoon.
The World's Longest Limo
So far you've seen a lot of different kinds of vehicles turned into limos. This is the first, and only, limo we're sharing that has been turned into a limo. Trust us, it will all make sense in a moment.
To make the world's longest limousine, several limos had to be mashed together to create a Frankenstein limo. Oh, and did we mention there's a helicopter landing pad on the trunk?
Maserati Limo
Ride in the ultimate lap of luxury in this Maserati limousine. Designed with only the highest-class clients in mind, this sleek machine is every designer car enthusiast's dream.
And as ridiculous as it sounds, you can easily buy one of these if you really wanted to. One was recently listed on eBay for $105,000. That places these limos in the average price range for a brand new Maserati vehicle.
Rolls Royce Limo
The Rolls Royce limo takes one of the world's most luxurious cars and turns it into something even more extravagant. Owning one of these means you're at the top of the monetary food chain, and you want everyone to know it.
Everything about this limo is incredible, just not cheap. Pricing for a non-customized vehicle starts at around a quarter of a million dollars. Buying one that has been altered will only increase that price tag.
Police Car Limo
First of all, no, this is not an actual police car. Whoever decided to turn an old police cruiser into a limo deserves a ton of credit for how authentic they made it look though.
Getting arrested and thrown into the back of one of these would be a new experience for sure. Does it have built-in TVs? How is the stereo system? We have so many questions but don't know where to start looking for answers.
Viper Limo
We didn't think there was a way to make a Dodge Viper cooler than it already was, and then we saw this. Not only did someone take the iconic sports car and stretch it, but they were also bold enough to make it a top-down ride.
Built by Unique Movie Cars, this incredibly unique Viper made its debut at a NASCAR race in 2012. It carries up to 12 passengers and was measured at 25 feet long.
Jet Limo
This limo that looks like a jet took between 60 and 100 people to build over the course of a year. Frank DeAngelo was the mastermind behind it, and he admits he was crazy to think the project was a good idea.
He recalls, "I was dumb enough at the time to say yeah, let’s do it." DeAngelo committed to the project, though, and it came out as one of the coolest hybrid limos on this list!
Pickup Truck Limo
The reason the Faizon Dolani, the president of Prime Limo, decided to turn a pickup truck into a stretch vehicle was because he wanted something that stood out. A typical limo looks more like a long sedan painted black.
A pickup truck limo helps your company stand out from the crowd. Of course, Dolani can't take credit for the idea himself, it was one of his chauffeurs he says came up to him and said, "You know what’d be really cool? If you had a stretch pickup truck in the fleet.”
Camaro Limo
For a cool $89,000 you can have your very own Chevrolet Camaro stretch limousine. The luxury vehicle can hold you and nine of your friends and gets a surprisingly gas-friendly 31 miles per gallon on the freeway.
This is one of the coolest ways to get around town with friends, although we don't know what the added cost of a driver is. Renting one is the better route to go - we found one service that costs $1,200 for four hours.
