The Mustang Mach-E polarized the car world. Although many fans of the brand agree that the electric crossover SUV is a step towards the future, others debate whether applying the legendary Mustang moniker was absolutely necessary. One thing is for sure; the Mustang Mach E is an innovative SUV that debuted for the 2021 model year.

The base model is available starting at $42,895 for the standard, rear-wheel-drive variant of the car. The cheapest trim of the Mach-E features a 230-mile range and a 5.8-second sprint to 60 miles per hour. A powerful Mustang Mach-E GT variant is available too, pushing out 480 horsepower in total.

Audi is planning to unveil the Q4, a fully-electric crossover, sometime later this year. The German automaker has been teasing fans with concepts of the vehicle since 2019. Audi has not released a lot of details about the car just yet, though its production is expected to begin within the next months.

The German automaker revealed that the base model Q4 will be available starting at $45,000. At this price tag, the car could become a great alternative to its competitors, such as the Tesla Model X. The German automaker claims that the Q4 can reach 60mph in just 6.3 seconds, while the single-charge range is said to be at least 280 miles.

This futuristic supercar was first revealed as a concept at the IAA motor show back in 2017. The OWL, created by a small Japanese manufacturer, quickly made international news. As of October 2020, the OWL is the world's fastest production vehicle with a 0-60 sprint in a staggering 1.72 seconds.

The production version of the E-Tron GT was unveiled on the 9th of February 2021, although the concept had been around since 2018. The German automaker planned to build a performance-oriented alternative to the Tesla Model 3. Although the vehicle was initially presented as a 2-door coupe that could seat up to 4 occupants, the production version is confirmed to be a 4-door sedan.

The E-Tron GT shares many components, including the platform, with the Porsche Taycan. The sedan produces 646 horsepower from its dual-motor setup, paired with a 93kWh battery pack. The E-Tron GT is expected to hit the market sometime in 2021.

The Lucid Air is yet another monstrous EV that will hit the market soon. The Air is a lavish 4-door sedan that's developed by Lucid Motors, an up-and-coming automaker based in California. Deliveries of the company's first vehicle are scheduled to begin in Spring 2021.

Sadly, Hyundai has not yet confirmed whether a production version of this supercar will be made. The first concept of the Essentia was displayed at the New York Auto Show back in 2018, and the automaker has not followed up with any clear details. According to rumors, we might see a production-ready version of the Essentia before the end of the year.

The Korean automaker has not revealed any details regarding the technical specifications of the car. According to a statement by Genesis, the car will be powered by multiple electric motors. Hopefully, more details will emerge soon!

Jaguar XJ Electric

Jaguar is reportedly planning to launch a fully-electric variant of the XJ sedan before the end of this year. The British automaker teased an electric XJ following the discontinuation of the XJ X351 in 2019. So far, the only official image of the car released by Jaguar was a close-up of the redesigned taillights.

Though Jaguar has not disclosed many details on the electric successor of the discontinued XJ, spy shots of the camouflaged test mules have been released back in 2020. The official debut of the upscale sedan is planned for 2021. The car will reportedly be powered by an electric motor at each of the two axles, mated with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain.

The M-Byte may be the coolest electric car you've never heard of. Back in 2018, a Chinese start-up unveiled a futuristic-looking concept of an electric crossover SUV. The M-Byte will reportedly be packed with high-tech features that would live up to its crazy exterior styling. This innovative crossover could prove to be revolutionary once it hits the market, which is expected to happen as early as 2021.

The M-Byte will come powered by two electric motors mated with either a 72 or a 95 kWh battery pack. Byton expects that their crazy crossover will be available for US buyers starting at $45,000.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai's plans to launch Ioniq, a fully electric subsidiary of the Korean manufacturer, are getting closer to reality. In case you did not know, the Ioniq 5 will be the first vehicle representing the new subbrand. The car will be inspired by Ioniq 45 concept photographed above.

Hyundai's new subbrand is set to debut sometime in 2022. In total, its electric powerplant is rated at 313 horsepower delivered to all 4 wheels. In addition, Hyundai claims that the Ioniq 5 can recharge to 80% in less than 20 minutes! Overall, the Korean automaker plans to introduce 23 Ioniq electric vehicles by 2025.

Later this year, we will see the Range Rover lineup expand by an all-new vehicle. Despite being a crossover, the lavish car will share its platform with the upcoming Range Rover SUV that will go on sale later this year. Just like its bigger sibling, the Crossover will debut sometime in 2021.

The British automaker has not shared any details regarding the new vehicle, apart from a selection of renders and some basic information. Don't confuse this upcoming Crossover with the Evoque, Range Rover's entry-level vehicle. Unlike the small Evoque, the Crossover will come at a hefty price tag. A fully-electric variant will be available alongside gas and diesel powertrains.

Cadillac's latest flagship sedan, the Celestiq, made an appearance during an online presentation at this year's CES show. General Motors revealed some details about the latest Cadillac EV for the first time in nearly a year, as the excitement goes through the roof.

From what we have seen so far, the Celestiq will likely share a similar design language to the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV. General Motors confirmed that the Celestiq will be powered by a four-wheel-drive system, and will come equipped with all-wheel-steering too. The car is expected to debut by 2023.

Chevrolet Electric Pickup

Chevrolet is on a mission to electrify the vast majority of its fleet. In fact, General Motors claims to release 30 new electric vehicles by 2025. One of them is going to be a fully-electric pickup truck sold under the Chevrolet brand, somewhat similar in size to the GMC Hummer.

Little is known about the truck so far. In fact, the American automaker did not even reveal its name yet. A quick look at the recently unveiled GMC Hummer pickup truck should give a clear idea of what GM is capable of in terms of EVs. Perhaps we'll see yet another truck capable of making 1000 horsepower from its electric motors? Only time will tell.

BMW iX3

The iX3 is a much more contemporary and subtle-looking alternative to the crazy iX. Though the German automaker kept displaying concepts of the SUV, the production version wasn't unveiled until mid-2020. Unlike the iX, the iX3 is essentially a BMW X3 with a replaced powerplant.

Interestingly, the drivetrain of the iX3 is only made up of one electric motor at the rear axle. It peaks at 286 horsepower and takes 6.8 seconds to reach 60 mph. Production of the car began in the second half of 2020. The iX3 will not be sold in the United States.
