Michael Jordan’s Impressive Car Collection Is Even Better Than You Thought
Arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan became an international superstar after leading the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships in the 1990s. One of the smoothest players on the court, from his ball-handling to his infamous dunks, "Air" Jordan boasts plenty of style off the court, too. With a net worth of $1.6 billion, Jordan hasn't been conservative with his money when it comes to his car collection. And why should he? Take a look at what's in Michael's garage.
Aston Martin DB9 Volante
After the Aston Marin DB7 went off of the market, Jordan decided to get the next best thing which was the DB9. Jordan purchased this car in the early 2000s, and even though it's still a cool car now, it was even more impressive back then.
It has the same engine as the DB7 which is a 5.9-liter V-12, although some drastic changes were made. The exterior design of the car was modernized and its performance improved, able to reach almost 200 miles per hour.
Porsche 911 Turbo S
Although Michael Jordan loved luxury and race cars of all kinds, he certainly had a taste for the German manufacturer, Porsche. During his NBA career alone, he owned the 930, 964, and 993 models.
Unknown to most, aspects of Michael Jordan's Air Jordan IV shoes actually were inspired by one of the Porsches that he owned, which was the 911 Turbo S. Since its inception, the Porsche 911 has undergone continuous development over the years. The vehicle was even ranked fifth in an international poll for Car of the Century.
Mercedes Benz SL 55 AMG
It's not surprising that Michael Jordan likes convertibles, as he's definitely not someone to shy away from the limelight. So, he added this Mercedes SL 55 AMG to his collection which was perfect for his larger-than-average size.
Mercedes produced this particular vehicle from 2003 to 2006 with an impressive engine that sported 493 horsepower. Not only did this vehicle allow Jordan to ride in style and for everyone to be able to see him, but he could also go really fast if he wanted.
Land Rover Range Rover
When it comes to basketball as well as other aspects of his life, Michael Jordan always makes sure that he's one step ahead of everyone else. This was the case when he started driving Range Rovers, which weren't all that popular when they first came out, yet, Jordan drove them anyway. Today, they're more popular than ever.
The Land Rover Range Rover has been in production since 1970 and can be seen in newer versions every few years. A luxury sports vehicle, it has come in high demand in recent years. You can see Jordan driving through his "23" gate to his Illinois mansion.
Ferrari 550 Maranello
Another car that inspired a Michael Jordan shoe, the Jordan XIV, the Ferrari 550 Maranello, is quite the vehicle. The car has a front engine-engine 458-hp 5.5-liter v-12, which Jordan drove in a manual transmission, of course.
The car was a 2-seat grand tourer that was built by Ferrari between 1996 and 2001. In 2004, Evo Magazine wrote, "As with all great cars, there's no one facet that dominates the experience. Yes, the engine is mighty, but the chassis is its equal. There's never been a supercar that's so exploitable and so rounded in its abilities."
Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Slant Nose
After the Chicago Bulls won their third NBA Championship, the world watched Michael Jordan drive away in his sleek Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Slant Nose moments after landing in Chicago.
What makes this car different from other Porsche 911s is that it has a 935 race-car-inspired sloped end with pop-up lights, unlike the classic round headlights that are often seen on typical 911s. Furthermore, it had an updated suspension and brakes that could handle all of the extra power that was added.
Chevrolet Corvette C5
The Corvette C5 is a vehicle that was manufactured y Chevrolet between the years 1997 and 2004. In 1997, the car managed to reach 60 miles per hour in just 5.0 seconds during testing.
Michael Jordan can be seen driving this model of car in The Last Dance, in which he parks it before going into practice one day. One of the major changes from the C4 was the inclusion of a hydroformed box frame to improve the car's structural platform, particularly on the convertible.
Toyota Land Cruiser
If you didn't already know, Michael Jordan is a pretty big guy, which means he doesn't always enjoy squeezing into one of his sports cars. Also, Jordan may be a world-famous basketball player, but he also enjoys hobbies such as golf, which requires a bigger car in order to carry his clubs or carpool with his other tall friends.
So, for one of his first SUV purchases, he bought a Toyota Land Cruiser. These cars are meant to handle the toughest environments, although it works just fine driving to the stadium.
Ferrari 512TR
When Michael Jordan was really feeling the itch to go fast, he went out and bought himself a Ferrari 512TR. His version was all black to go along with the suits that we wore at the time and was supposedly a gift to himself after winning his first NBA Championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1991.
Interestingly, Jordan skipped right over the V-8 models and went with a V-12 for this Ferrari. Go big or go home, right?
Corvette ZR1 40th Anniversary Edition
Michael Jordan was never one to shy away from European automobiles, but there's little doubt that he had an affinity for Corvettes. Although he bought the C5 in 1997, before that, he got his hands on the 40th Anniversary Edition of the 405bhp ZR1, in bright red. Jordan had one of the only 224 of these models that were made.
This was a gift from Chevrolet for his work in commercials. So, when his opponent Gary Peyton said he could afford flashy cars, Jordan responded by saying, "The cars I bought are just like yours, except mine were free."
Mercedes W140 S600 Coupé By Lorinser
The years 1993 to 1995 were a tumultuous time for Michael Jordan. His father passed, he retired from basketball, he started playing baseball, and then he came back to the sport that he was known for.
During all of this commotion, Jordan acquired a W140 S600 Coupé By Lorinser by Mercedes. His car was a very dark green sporting a wide boy kit with 19-inch wheels and custom dual pipes. The car would go on to sell for more than $200,000.
Porsche 993 Turbo S
Just before Michael Jordan gave up basketball for the second time at the end of the 1998 season, he treated himself to a ruby red Porsche 993 Turbo S.
This particular car was manufactured by Porsche Exclusive, with the Turbo S using carbon fiber and having yellow brake calipers, so people know that it's a special model. Unbelievably, a car like this is worth close to $450,000 even before having belonged to Michael Jordan.
Bentley Continental GT
On top of the Porsche 930 Turbo Flat Nose and the Ferrari 550 Maranello, another car that inspired one of Jordan's shoe designs was the stylish Bentley Continental GT. The shoe that was directly inspired by this car was the Air Jordan XXI, taking from both the leather cabin and the low suspension.
This was the first car Bentley released under Volkswagen AG management and was the first of their cars to use mass-production techniques to make in large quantities.
Cadillac XLR-V

Apparently, General Motors really wanted to see Michael Jordan driving around in a Cadillac. So bad, in fact, that they had three XLR-CV's delivered to him by a truck in the colors of Infa Red, Black Raen, and Light Platinum, allowing him to select his favorite.
Unsurprisingly, Jordan chose the bright red one, which was a luxury two-seater, with the "V" model being the most powerful having 443 bhp. Unfortunately for General Motors, however, having Jordan drive around in one of these did little to boost sales.
Aston Martin DB7 Volante
Once again, in 2000, it appeared that Michael Jordan had stepped away from playing basketball for good when in January of that year, he became the part-owner and president of the Washing Wizards.
Yet, apparently, he was unable to step off the court, and in 2001 went back to playing basketball for his own team. He played for the wizards during that year, and one of his favorite cars to drive the Aston Martin DB7 Volante. This model of Aston Martin was the highest produces ever, with more than 7,000 manufactured.
McLaren-Mercedes SLR 722
Michael Jordan certainly is a fan of his Mercedes, but the title of his fastest in his collection of Mercedes goes to the McLaren-Mercedes SLR 722. This vehicle was first released in 2006 as a limited edition of the SLR supercar and was manufactured in homage to Stirling Moss's win at the 1955 Mille Miglia.
During the race, Moss drove the Mercedes 300 SLR, and his starting number was 722. For some reason, however, Jordan felt the need to sell the car. It was up for sale for almost $700,000.
Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir
After finally retiring from playing professional basketball, Jordan's car purchases have been less discussed than when he established himself as the greatest basketball player of all time. During this time, it's rumored that he made an impressive purchase of one of the 12 Sang Noirs made by Bugatti, also referred to as "black bloods."
These beasts of a car are an edition of the EB 16.4 Veyron, with famous rapper Drake owning one of them himself. With a top speed of 253 miles per hour, this car costs over $2 million.
23XI Racing Toyota
Although it may not be a car for his personal use, Jordan has recently acquired a 23XI Racing Toyota. He did this after announcing that he's starting a NASCAR Cup team, with Bubba Wallace behind the wheel of a No23 Toyota.
According to Jordan, "Growing up in North Carolina, my parents would take my brothers, sisters, and me to races and I've been a NASCAR fan my whole life." His recent involvement in the sport makes Jordan the first black majority owner of a team since the 1970s.
Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
Even after many years since his last points scored on the court, seeing Michael Jordan out in public, particularly while driving one of his flashy cars, is still an event. Recently, one of the vehicles that he's been spotted in is the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.
This vehicle is a grand tourer that is a front-engine two-seat model that was manufactured to replace the 575M Maranello in 2006. The car is designed around aerodynamics, with the car's name (599) coming from its engine displacement of 5,999 ccs or 6.0 L.
Chevrolet C4 Corvette
After the Chicago Bulls drafted Jordan to play in the NBA in the 1980s, it didn't take long for fans and companies to realize his potential. It was during this time that he signed a deal with Chevrolet to star in a number of their car commercials.
For his work, Chevrolet gifted the basketball player with a Chevrolet C4 Vette. To top it off, the plates read "Jump 23," which was Jordan's nickname at the time. This vehicle was only manufactured between 1983 and 1996.
Lamar Odom's Rolls Royce Phantom Cost $400,000
Lamar Odom's NBA career might be over, but he's still riding around town in the lap of luxury behind the wheel of a $400,000 Rolls Royce Phantom. The luxury ride comes with 450 horsepower thanks to its 6.8-liter engine.
Surprisingly, it wasn't Odom who footed the bill for the vehicle. In 2010, his then-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian bought it as a gift for him winning the NBA Championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. Since the couple split, rumors have surfaced that Kardashian took the car back, but nothing has been confirmed.
Dwight Howard's Knight XV Truck Cost $600,000
Dwight Howard is a future Hall of Famer who was drafted by the Orlando Magic in 2004, was the team's franchise player until 2012, and has moved around the league as an impact starter since. He moves around in style, too!
Howard reportedly pulls up to the arena in a $600,000 Knight XV Truck with a V10, 6.8-liter engine capable of 300 horsepower. This beast of truck weighs a massive 13 thousand pounds, too!
Shaq's Lamborghini Gallardo Cost $190,000
Shaquille O'Neal isn't known for his subtlety. It's hard to be subtle when you stand over seven feet tall and wear a size 27 shoe. The big man owns a lot of vehicles, too, including a $190,000 Lamborghini Gallardo.
The car had to be modified so that the large-bodied NBA Hall of Famer could fit inside. The biggest adjustment was extending the length of the vehicle by a massive 12 inches.
Magic Johnson's Custom Rolls Royce Phantom Cost $500,000
NBA legend Magic Johnson spared no expense when it came to buying his dream car- a custom Rolls Royce Phantom with a half a million-dollar price tag. There were only 237 drop-top editions of the Phantom sold worldwide.
The Phantom is a vehicle fit for royalty, which Johnson can definitely be considered. Not only was he a major star for the "Showtime Lakers," but he became a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers after retiring from the NBA.
Derrick Rose's Bugatti Veyron Cost $1.7 Million
It's okay to gasp when you see just how much former NBA MVP Derrick Rose spent on his Bugatti Veyron. The uber-luxury vehicle came with an over-the-top price tag of $1.7 million!
Rose's Veyron is loaded to the brim with power. It comes with a W16 engine and four turbochargers, making it capable of reaching 1,000 horsepower. And to make sure the car doesn't overheat as it creates so much friction, it has 10 radiators just to be safe.
Dwyane Wade's Mercedes SLR McLaren Cost A Cool $500,000
One of the greatest players in NBA history, Dwyane Wade was a 13-time All-Star and three-time NBA Champion. With all that glitter on his resume, he really didn't need the glamour of a luxury vehicle, but he got one anyway - a $500,000 Mercedes SLR McLaren.
Loaded with a V8-engine, the Mercedes can reach 60 miles per hour in under four seconds and reaches a max of 210 miles per hour, which we don't recommend Wade ever try to hit.
LeBron James' Lamborghini Aventador Cost $670,000
It's good to be the king. LeBron James, whose nickname is "King James," might drive one of the flashiest vehicles in the NBA. James' Lamborghini Aventador has a custom wrap that was a multi-artist collaboration.
The final product cost James a reported $670,000 and looks like it should be on display in a museum. And while it's not the fastest Lamborghini on the market, peaking at 700-horsepower, it is quite possibly the most unique.
John Wall's Ferrari 458 Spider Cost $210,000
One of the highest-paid players in the NBA, John Wall wasn't worried about the cost when he bought his Ferrari 458 Spider. The car cost a reported $210,000, which was just a fraction of the $170 million contract he signed with the Wizards in 2017.
The Ferrari isn't the only extravagant car Wall owns. His garage is loaded with pricey wheels including a Porsche, Bentley, and Rolls Royce, which seems to be the car of choice for NBA stars!
Anthony Davis' Mercedes-Benz S550 Cost $150,000
Anthony Davis is one of the brightest young stars in the NBA. At the end of 2020, he signed a $190 million, five-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, meaning he could easily afford his $150,000 Mercedes-Benz S550.
Davis' Benz is fully loaded with customized after-market bumps. The status symbol for the superstar can reach 449-horsepower and has a classic look that will never go out of style. Davis might buy more cars in the future, but we don't know if any will compare to this beauty.
James Harden's Rolls Royce Wraith Cost $500,000
James "The Beard" Harden has made a name for himself as one of the best offensive threats in the NBA. As a result, he's earning $228 million from his most recent contract. Why wouldn't he show off with a $500,000 Rolls Royce Wraith?
Harden's Wraith was custom painted and is a one-of-a-kind piece of driveable art. It doesn't disappoint on the road, either, reaching very high speeds thanks to an engine capable of 600-horsepower.
Russell Westbrook's Lamborghini Aventador Cost $380,000
The second Lamborghini Aventador on this list belongs to none other than Russell Westbrook. The 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player and nine-time All-Star spent a reported $380,000 on the supercar of his dreams.
Westbrook's Aventador can reach a top sped of 217 miles per hour and can go from zero to sixty in under three seconds. While he owns several other high-priced vehicles, this custom-painted Lamborghini is the ride of choice to and from the arena.
Paul George's Ferrari 458 Spider Cost $233,000
After spending $230,000 on his Ferrari 458 Spider, Paul George reportedly couldn't drive it for over one year. When he made the luxury purchase, he was recovering from a gruesome leg injury. Perhaps the idea of getting behind the wheel helped keep him motivated during rehab.
The Ferrari 458 Spider comes with a V8 engine capable of 458-horsepower. Since his peak playing days with the Indiana Pacers ended, George has continued to be a major contributor and star on the court for the multiple franchises.
Kevin Durant's Ferrari California Cost $200,000
Maybe the most impactful NBA superstar of the last decade other than LeBron James, Kevin Durant has made a reputation for himself as a title hunter. When he left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors, he won his first of multiple rings.
It might have been in the Golden State that Durant dropped $200,000 on his Ferrari California. Having earned hundreds of millions in his career, it's not like he couldn't afford it.
Steph Curry's Porsche GT3 RS Cost $200,000
Two NBA MVP and three-time NBA Champion Steph Curry deserves to buy whatever car he wants. Playing on a contract worth over $200 million, he had no problems dishing out an estimated $200,000 on his Porsche GT3 RS.
Curry doesn't use the GT3 RS as his commuter car, though. That would be too flashy. Instead, he shows up to work every day in a Porsche Panamera. Does he own a car not made by Porsche?
Dwyane Wade's Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Cost $330,000
Retirement is treating Dwyane Wade extremely well. For his second appearance on this list, we're featuring his Ferrari 412 Berlinetta, which cost a reported $330,000 and probably shouldn't be left sitting in the driveway while a game of basketball with his son is happening.
The F12 Berlinetta that Wade owns has a 6.3-liter V12 engine capable of 700-horsepower, making it an incredibly powerful supercar. Probably not the car he's going to pass on to his children someday.
LeBron James' Ferrari F430 Cost $200,000
Reportedly, the $200,000 Ferrari F430 parked in LeBron James' garage is one of his least expensive vehicles. The King's car comes painted in silver with red lining, making it truly fit for NBA royalty.
Making more than $30 million a year, LeBron James can buy any fancy car he wants without making a huge dent in his bank account. When he originally made "The Decision" to leave Cleveland for Miami in 2010, the resulting payout was enough to buy 10 Ferrari F430s!
Dwight Howard's Bentley Mulsanne Cost $400,000
The back half of Dwight Howard's NBA career may not have gone as planned, but that hasn't stopped him from buying extravagant vehicles. You've already seen his big truck, and now we're giving you a look at his $400,000 Bentley Mulsanne.
With a classic town car look, Dwight Howard found the perfect commuter vehicle. It might not fit in everyone's budget, but Howard isn't everyone. He's a former NBA Superstar and Finals champion. He definitely enjoys the finer things in life.
Michael Beasley's Bentley Continental Flying Spur Cost $200,000
During his rookie year in the NBA, Michael Beasley had more money than he knew what to do with. With a love for cars, he went all in, buying nine, including this $200,000 Bentley Continental Flying Spur.
Since making that purchase, the reality of money management sunk into the NBA star. He no longer owns the Flying Spur, telling USA Today he only has one car, "a Tahoe... I've got priorities. Back then, I didn’t have any responsibilities. It was easy to spend the money. To learn the value of a dollar, you have to spend one. I didn’t know the value of a dollar back then."
Shaq's Rolls Royce Phantom Cost $500,000
With an estimated net worth of $400 million, Shaq can pretty much buy as many vehicles as he wants. This $500,000 Rolls Royce Phantom is no exception to the rule. This particular Phantom was purchased by Shaq during an NBA All-Star Weekend event.
Like his Lamborghini, Shaq's Rolls Royce has been customized to the big man's most extravagant desires. While we don't know the specifics, we're guessing that means added legroom and possibly even a one-of-a-kind paint job.
Bulky But Beautiful
When it comes to bulky but luxurious cars, few can top a Hummer. Shaquille O'Neal is both a lover of cars and of living the life of luxury, so it's no surprise he owns a Hummer H2S. His choice of a deep burgundy color only adds to the mysterious and classy feel of the car.
Shaq loves Superman, which is why the rims are cut into the shape of the Superman logo. The shiny, silver rims really pop against the dark vehicle.
The Flashiest Truck Around
You know that Shaq loves this truck based on the expression on his face alone. It's as though he's saying, "That's right. Check me out." This golden beauty he's so proud of is a Ford F-150.
According to Daily Mail, the F series trucks have been the best-selling pickups for decades. However, Shaq was sure to make his standout in the crowd by adding metallic gold paint and by lifting the body significantly. This truck certainly matches Shaq in terms of being hard to miss.
Not A Bike... A Trike
When you have more money than one person could spend, you may as well buy everything custom. That's why Shaq hired Underground Garage to produce his very own custom Chopper Trike.
Someone as large and heavy as Shaq would be a bit safer on three wheels than two. Plus, just look at the size of that thing. If he laid on the ground, the three-wheeler might actually be as long as the 7'1" legendary basketball player.
A Little Something For The Great Outdoors
Where many people have to consider all of their activities when buying a car, Shaq has the luxury of owning a different car for any number of activities. For the outdoorsy trips, he has a Jeep Wrangler.
The Wrangler was also designed to be a more comfortable ride, which is important when you're a large individual. You also may have noticed that something looks different about this vehicle. That's because there are two extra-large doors instead of four.
You Can't Miss This One
Between being seven-foot-tall and a celebrity, Shaquille O'Neal is probably used to being a standout. That might be why he went with an eye-catching cherry red paint color for his Cadillac Escalade.
The ride wouldn't be complete without Shaq's trademark Superman logo. He had the front grill customized so that the logo sits right at the front of the car. Despite being tall, he likes the looks of lowered cars and had the height adjusted as well as the tires to hold the weight.
Keep An Eye Out For This Sports Car
It's not uncommon to dream of having a sports car. Even the least enthusiastic drivers get a thrill at the thought of racing around in a Ferrari. For a wealthy athlete like Shaq, he's going to pick the best of the best.
That's why he went with an Extended Ferrari 355 Spider. This model was built to improve the performance of other Ferraris. Obviously, a large man, like Shaq, may have some trouble squeezing into a sports car, so he adjusted the vehicle and removed the top.
Watch Out For This Slingshot
Though this Polaris Slingshot is considered a 4-Seater, we're not so sure more than one person could comfortably fit in the slender vehicle with Shaq driving. Then again, when you have the car budget that he does, you can afford to be a little unrealistic.
Speaking of unrealistic, this car doesn't offer airbags! That's why riders have to wear motorcycle helmets in certain dominions, according to The Drive. With a showy car like that, we're fairly confident it's only ever taken on a trip around the block anyways.
That's More Like It
The 4-Seater Polaris Slingshot was clearly not enough for a man of Shaq's stature. But when you have friends in high places, you don't have to worry about missing out on something for long.
This Super-Sized Polaris Slingshot with the Superman logo on the seats was obviously made with Shaq in mind. The grill makes the car look like a transformer while the wheels are clearly made to hold some weight. Now Shaq can feel like this machine was made for him.
A Legendary Brand For A Legendary Player
Something about the Cadillac DTS screams luxury. While it's not as flashy as some of Shaq's other cars, we imagine this would be his pick when he's headed to a business meeting.
Similar to his hummer, this car is painted deep burgundy which adds to its sleek and classic aesthetic. This beauty comes with a variety of options that we'd bet Shaq had to agree to, including chrome wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, and a heated steering wheel.
A Big Van For A Big Man
Every van is a minivan when you're Shaq, so it's no surprise that he went with this customized Chevrolet G1500 to ensure he would fit comfortably with several other riders.
When it came to customizing this car, he didn't have to worry about adjusting it so he could fit. Instead, he went with quilted Louis Vuitton leather seats so his entire family could ride comfortably. He also opted for custom rims so people walking by know that this is no ordinary van.
Nothing Can Dodge This Dodge
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat is one powerful muscle car, perfect for a strong athlete like Shaquill O'Neil. With 707 horsepower thanks to it's 6.2 L HEMI V-8 engine, this vehicle can fly down the streets and whip around corners, even with a large athlete in the car.
Any car named "Challenger" is a good pick for one of the ultimate competitors in basketball. Shaquill O'Neil is not a force to be reckoned with, and neither is this car.
A Toy Car Or A Reverse Trike?
At first glance, it may look like Shaq is sitting in a really expensive adult toy car. However, if you ask Motorcycle.com, that Vanderhall Venice 3 Wheel Roadster is actually a reverse trike.
You can't see in this photograph, but there's only one wheel behind Shaq. Another surprise is that it isn't obscenely priced, ringing in somewhere between $30 and $50k depending on the model. The lightweight vehicle is fun to drive, but not realistic for more than play.
The Police Force Just Got A Lot Cooler
In case you're wondering why Shaquille O'Neal is pointed to a man wearing a police badge, that's because Shaq is now a sheriff's deputy in Georgia. Naturally, he needed a police car, but the NBA legend wasn't going to settle for just any old cruiser.
The Clayton County Police Department offered Shaq this Dodge Charger Hellcat Police Special to drive in. Driving around in one of his incredible cars is one thing, but doing so while working for the police force is quite another.
A Staple Vehicle In The Collection
Similar to the red Cadillac Escalade we saw earlier on, this black Range Rover sports the Superman logo Shaq loves so much on the car's grill. Everything else about the car looks relatively normal, except one other thing.
If you look closely, you can tell that the windows have been tinted. However, they aren't just slightly tinted; they're completely blacked out like a limousine, even in the driver's and passenger's sides. That all-sleek and shiny look makes this the classiest Range Rover yet.
Meet Big Hoffa
You know you're a star when you have a tour bus with your face on it. Shaq even named his beloved, customized tour bus "Big Hoffa" for reference. And he couldn't forget that super-sized Superman logo.
Big Hoffa here may be huge, but it's important to remember that the discomfort of being cramped while traveling for a long time is exemplified when you're Shaq's size. Plus, all of that room allows for a larger canvas for Shaq to plaster his image across.
The Most Luxurious Van Around
Since a tour bus can be a little ostentatious, Shaq also has this beautiful van to transport himself and a large group of others. However, this isn't a typical car. It's a customized Sprinter Mercedes Van, which means it's about as luxurious as a van can be.
The amenities of this vehicle you would expect in a house rather than a van. It has white, quilted seats, hardwood floors, a flat-screen television, and an iPad.
A Stylish Mercedes Benz
This Mercedes Benz S550 has a few features that make it an ideal convertible for someone like Shaq. For one, it has four doors instead of two, which isn't always the case with convertibles.
Another benefit is that there isn't a partition between the front and back windows. The extra space makes it easier for Shaquille to get in and out of the vehicle without bumping into anything. He also modified the side vents and the tire rims for an extra touch of style.
Come With Me If You Want To Drive
This Ford F-650 was painted with the Terminator in mind. The hood and the rear have images of a robotic face modeled after that popular franchise, and flames along the top half.
Below the doors is a step with more terminator faces and red eyes peeking out. While this hunk of metal may look like a powerful giant, it only gets about 7 miles to the gallon according to autoevolution. Once again, this vehicle is all for show.
Shaq's Big Diesel
You know you've made it when you can get away with sticking a "Big Diesel" license plate on your Rolls Royce. In all fairness, it does have a 6.75 L engine and at half a million dollars, it better be well equipped.
The body of the car is a comfortable fit for a sedan thanks to its boxy shape. The blue color is eye-catching, but not cheesy. The last thing you'd want to do is lower the prestige of such a luxury vehicle.
Shaq's Biggest Purchase Yet
Shaq sat down with Vanity Fair in 2012 and confessed that he'd made a rather abrupt purchase when he was younger that, looking back, he can't help but disapprove. The NBA player was still with the Lakers when he decided to stop in at a Rolls-Royce dealership.
After seeing Mike Tyson purchase multiple Bentleys, he asked the salesman what the price was for one. When the salesman doubted that Shaq could afford it, the heated celebrity decided to buy three right away out of spite. As Shaq put it, "A million dollars gone in 10 minutes."
Built For Shaquille
When most people think of buying a car, they don't imagine having to put it together themselves. Initially, that's how the Vaydor worked. It was a kit that could be purchased and then added to an existing vehicle.
Later on, the kit was expanding into a ready-to-go vehicle that would cost a whopping $150,000. Super Craft built this one up for Shaq with plenty of leg room. Even though he's more of a Superman person, it's worth noting that the same model belonged to the Joker in the film Suicide Squad.
